What You'll Do

Under the direction of the CEO, the Head of Engineering is responsible for building the engineering team and establishing the engineering culture and operations. This individual will be accountable for the department’s overall performance, from quality and speed of delivery as well as Services reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hiring (Hunting, filtering, interviewing)
  • Onboarding (Onboarding Schedule, topics, presentations, paperwork)
  • Performance reviews of all employees of the department
  • Create and track the department’s quarterly OKRs
  • Maintain the budget
  • Create timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
  • Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements
  • Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term need)

Your Background

  • Masters degree in computer science or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years working in a technological role
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional team management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to delegate efficiently
  • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future
